Gar. Taxi back from the RID gig is £14, split 4 ways is very good. However the branch in my village is closed and they won't take payment on the night or over the phone, if I want it I'll have to go to the Loughborough branch and pay up front. WHY. IK.
Greetings, English essay....I'm going in... *convulses* John Clare...eugh.

Classical Civilisation - A (84%, 91%, 93% HOLY HELL!!!!) English Literature - B (as expected) History - C (WHAT THE HOLY HELL HAPPENED THERE?) Biology - C
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED AT HISTORY?! I got a good B on the Luther paper and mid Cs on the other two. I've been getting solid Bs and the odd A all year for ALL the papers!! I was only 7 marks out of 300 off a B overall...but still...About 5 other people I've talked too have also dropped a grade on what they expected. For fucksake, Hannah got a C on one of her History papers and she's going for Oxford. I'd be surprised if the school don't go in for a mass re-mark as this is VERY odd. At worst I'll have to re sit a paper in January, but it just seems so odd.
I'd have really liked a B in Biology, but at the end of the day I tried as hard as I could, and it doesn't matter as I'm dropping it and I'm applying for Classics at Uni, so it's not relevant. It's just...holy hell at History. Pretty darn upset. I hope the rest of my set have experienced the same mark wise as the other people I've talked too because if so the school will file a complaint.
*stares at Class Civ with UTTER GLEE* I do love Classics.
So yeah- mixed emotions

i. English exam today! All My Sons went very well, Chaucer less though it was sort of 'meh'...but SO glad to have it over with
ii. Picnic fun avec musical_nymph, Boston, Pete and Chris. T'was fun, sandwiches in le rain, stoopid fun on the childrens play areas. Roundabout MADNESS, involving Pete ending up feeling veryvery dizzy and sick...and there was also a point at which Chris tried to vault a bench...deardear. Pictures soon me hopes! Pete is the greatest :)
iii. Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean with Pete after...if was...sorry, a load of crap for the following reasons...
( The failings or POTC- or 'what happens when incapable filmakers are let loose' )

So...I was out with Pete at lunch again today. Yesterday there was some nice hugging and I kissed his cheek (well okay, his jaw- I'm short) but today there was a snog :) It wasn't perfect- we were hugging as he went to leave and I sort of said 'kiss' but he got me very quickly. There was no bashing of teeth or anything it just wasn't quite...right. Nice, but with practise better can be achieved :) However Emily Kaye saw us so now it's over most of the 6th form and I'm possibly going to face an onslaught tomorow of 'you said you weren't dating him' then confused looks when I say 'I'm not'.
Hey ho.
In other news I wrote a very good English essay. I am determined to do better ones than I've done in the past and I've spent many a headache on this so it best be good. However I've got another English essay to do for Tuesday and I'm sure I'm going to be set a History essay tomorow as well :S Plus a Biology planning excercise in for Monday...It's really annoying as I haven't been tardy with my work I've just had loads of stuff come in at one time.
How are all you guys?

Apologies for my brief hiatus- simply put I've been slacking off on homework a bit and it all piled up at the last minute :S Grrr....
Anyway Thank You to all of you guys who wished me a happy birthday- I am now 17! I can drive! Well I can't beause I haven't got my provisional... but I could!
I had a bit of an anti climactic birthday because my mum and brother didn't get back till really late in the evening so I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I did however get a 30gb white iPod (5.5 generation, video oooooh!) and my brother got me Series 1+2 of The Mighty Boosh on DVD. Very good presents. My mother however didn't get me anything, the same as Christmas so I think at some point I'm going to have to go shopping and she'll foot the bill *evil laugh*
Worried about my English Coursework as I can't stand to go and see Mrs Young again because I really dislike her. I'm probably going to get a B rather than the A I want but I honestly don't care now, I just want to hand it in and forget about it. Another Classics mock today and we had to get to school early to start it :S It went okayish but the essay wasn't too pretty.
And ooooo! I went to the gym this afternoon! I did about half a mile on the treadmill (and was v tired. But more than that DIZZY once I got off.) And did a bit on the cycling bike. Grooovy. I did like it :)
And wow a bit of a busy weekend- Saturday night rosy_love_music and I are going to Nottingham to see The Long Blondes live!! Weee! Then I'm probably sleeping over at hers, going to see Hot Fuzz on Sunday morning and then going to see Keane at Nottingham on Sunday! Wow...
How are you all- I'm rather behind on my f-list!
*hugs*

Would just like to say all of you guys and my RL friends are really lovely people for being so supportive in the past few days. You'll be glad to know this month's lag of the old PMT seems to be passing and I'm left pretty content with a hint of tenseness about me. I really hope I don't get it again next month, but it is starting to get like this every month now :( Oh dear. Fingers crossed.
Pretty good day despite a timed esasy in History (which went okay) and a Classics test (which again went alright.) I really like The Miller's Tale (Chaucer) which we're doing in English at the moment! Old English isn't too hard to get most of the time and it's a bit lewd! Double points to Chaucer for being a bit of a dude!
Classics was one again hilarious (when isn't it?) but I made rather a huge fool of myself falling over on the way back to school. Apparently there was ice. Well I bloody well skid a mile and mangled my knee but it was the ego which was more bruised.
Adam: 'I like how none of us go to help her...'
My friends rule *cough* And yes Concert Band was seriously cool, loads of good music and my dad seems more partial to letting me go on the Switzerland for the Band Tour than I thought. It's wierd how he's more partial to letting me go on foreign school trips than he was before. Hmm...
PS you all should be listening to this band http://www.myspace.com/rockcitynosebleed

Wehey! End of exams! English went pretty well but I don't know how well I've done, I find it impossible to tell with English. Half relieved it's all over, but a large part of me is still feeling a bit uptightish. Hope that goes away.
Not a bad day, went into Primark and bought a dress at lunch! Yay! Cheap! It's a bit short and is a long top on most people but I'm a dwarf so I can JUST scrape it as a dress. Don't really care if I show the world my ass...
Having a sleepover on Friday with rosy_love_music which I'm rather looking forward too. We shall bitch about boys, watch cheesy girl films and stuff ourselves silly with bad nasty fatty foods. Then shopping with her Sat morning and party in the afternoon. Wow... lots going on :)
Not feeling too bad. All that seems to have gone through my head all day is 'he has a BOYFRIEND' in a sort of incredulous way. Feel a bit shit on my own this evening, but not too bad.

Phew- Biology exam today. It went well apart from a bugger of a question on food tests ddisguised as a reducing sugars question! EBIL PRECIOUS! IT GOT ME! Oh well, you sort of expect to mess up one. On the plus side I guessed the structure of Glycogen and got it mostly right. The essay question was a dreammm...
So I opted to go to Classics afterwards rather than take my exam leave for English tommorow morning. Good option- it was sodding funny. The guys seemed to be playing some sort of Classics game show and whenever Adam reads it cracks me up because he sounds like a cheesy talk show host. Lovely.
English Lit tommorow. Closed book. GAH! I haven't learnt quotes because for my mock I found they came to me natrually because I'd read the book through enough times. I hope that carries on.... Then exams over :)
How are you all?
