WHY AM I SUCH A FOOL!?!?!
I'm going down to London on Monday and I STUPIDLY booked on trains not allowing me enough time in my change to go to Noel Fielding's Art exhibition. It's stupid as well, I could easily have booked in a train up to an hour and a half earlier, but I didn't. WHAT AN ARSE. Unless I get up uber early the next day and head down to Soho... t'internet tells me le cake shop opens at half 8 and my train's not till 9.55 *ponders*
Anyway, yeah, I'm going down to Royal Holloway for a lecture by Germaine Greer on Sappho. Should be a RIOT. I'm staying overnight at love_that_dog's then catching a train back in the morning, cause it goes on fairly late.
Ellie on the underground at 9am? Attempting to buy a ticket?
I am so going to miss my train *facepalm*

i. My head is killing me. I haven't been getting to sleep till like...half past midnight the past few nights, meaning I feel awful attempting to wake up at a reasonable hour to revise. I pulled myself out of bed to start revision at 10.30 this morning and actually managed to get through a lot in 40 minutes, and finish covering Francis I, which I've been working on the past few days. I really feel like I should be making more of an effort though- but my head and neck hurt like fuck :S
ii. Congratulations once more to dentistboston for getting into Oxford Uni :) Legendddddd. I am well looking forward to a bit of University of London action next year. LONDONAGE! Get innnn :) Note to self- must not fail miserably in exams if I actually want to end up in London. Hmmm.
iii. Revision fucks up Christmas Holidays royally.
iv. EE! Going to see Mighty Boosh LIVE next year! CANNOT WAIT. Loving series 3...apart from last nights episode, which was alright, but not great.
v. Merry Christmas to all!

i. Only 9 days to my Royal Holloway interview. And I've booked train tickets for little me to go down there! Oooo navigating Kings Cross and the underground on my own. Schocking independance. Plus I get to meet and spend time with [Unknown LJ tag]. Rad man.
ii. Re-reading list for interview:
Electra Euripides
Hecuba Euripides
i>The Republic</i> Plato, but just the chapter on Women
Lysistrata Aristophanes An Epic History of Greece and Rome Robin Lane Fox The Death of Socrates Emily Wilson
With The Death of Socrates I'll just note down some of the main ideas in the book as it was only 2 or 3 months ago I read it. With An Epic History of Greece and Rome the part I'm unsure on is the transition from Republic to Empire, which I'm reading in Augustus by Holland I just bought, so I'll cover it there.
Actually, I may get all the re-reading covered I wanted too. Still feeling slightly worried about the interview though- I REALLY want to go there.
iii. Italy reunion partee tonight. Spent most of it speaking to Jono and Adam. Merry merry. Jono makes me larf, and I lost a lot of arm wrestles with Adam. Woe.
iv. New icons! Rad! Noel and The Mighty Boosh!
v. I really like watching University Challenge but it's yet to have on any Uni's I've applied too. This week it's University of Birmingham and Magdalene College Oxford.
EDIT- Warwick are on next week! I've got a place there! Woo! And apparently they won it last year! Cool!
vi. Love to all <3

i. I am in the land of reading. I've got to re-read all the books I mentioned in my Uni application form for my interview as I'll probably be asked something about them. I mean, I won't be asked 'You've stated you've read this, give me a detailed synopsis about the book' but I'll need to talk about some of my favourite themes/periods of history in relation to books and I obviously need to know pretty well what I'm going on about. I need to have re-read as much of this as I can by December 5th. 3 weeks. Shits.
So I've read these all once, and I'll gradually cross them off as I re-read them. Electra Euripides
Hecuba Euripides The Republic Plato, but just the chapter on Women (1/2 way through)
Lysistrata Aristophanes An Epic History of Greece and Rome Robin Lane Fox The Death of Socrates Emily Wilson
ii. Cold. It is very cold. Everywhere.
iii. Not long till Snow Ball now! I'm going shopping with Jayna tomorrow on a bit of a make up run to look at colours...I'm thinking sparkly silver eyshadow everywhere, black liquid eyeliner and some pink dusted on top to bring out the pink in my dress. Also, a line of silver under my eye...the eye make up alone will take about 20 minutes I think *does off into land of prettiness*
iv. I got the job at New Look! Rock on man. Extra spending money=win.
v. Today I have read 40 pages of Captain Corelli for English, the 1st Act of Lysistrata, 20 pages of Plato and generally re-searched for my Classics coursework. I am totally out read.
*wanders off in the general direction of fanfiction*

EEE! I got an interview request from Royal Holloway, University of London!!!
YAY! It's my first choice and they may want me!! Even better it's an interview with a visit day- which means it's slightly less formal and rigorous :) AND I get to go into a First Year Lecture :O
5th December

*blank stare*
I got an offer from The University of Warwick
...
Warwick's like in the top 5 or 10 Uni of all those in the country...
*is even more blank*
People are starting to get slightly ticked at all the early offers I seem to be rolling in :P
One problem...I'd be slightly stupid to pick Royal Holloway over it
*sigh*
